From our home to yours
It all started with Mom.
01
It all started with Mom.
With Dad's expertise in coffee and Mom's passion for baking and food, we had the two things that would eventually bring our dream to life. We wanted to bring them together and create something that was truly our own.
While my brother and I were still in school and college, she followed her passion for baking and opened a little cafe in Chikmagalur.
What began as a love for baking soon became something much bigger, a place loved by the people around us. That little cafe gave us the belief that we could build something of our own.

02
Five generations of coffee.
We come from a family of fifth-generation coffee planters. Our estate, established in 1889, has been part of our family's story for generations. Situated in the hills of Chikmagalur, it is a place that holds not just our roots, but countless memories and a legacy we are proud to carry forward.
Back home, Dad continues to look after the estate, preserving the traditions and knowledge passed down through generations. For us, coffee has never been just a crop, it is a part of who we are.
03
A family dream.
With Mom leading the kitchen, my brother working alongside her, Dad bringing generations of expertise in coffee and our family's estate at the heart of it all, we wanted to create a cafe that was unmistakably ours.
A place rooted in Chikmagalur, shaped by our family's traditions, yet made for everyone. A little piece of our home that we could share with a much bigger world.

From our hills to your table.
Born in the hills of Chikmagalur and brought to life in Bangalore, The Estate Deli is our way of sharing a little piece of home with the world. We wanted to bring the warmth of our family, the soul of our hometown and the legacy of our estate into a place where people could come together.
Our name, Gandadkhaan, is a reflection of the land we come from. Gandad means sandalwood and Khaan means forest. It is a name that carries the spirit of our roots and the heritage that has shaped our family.
Even our logo has a story to tell. Inspired by our 98-year-old estate house in Chikmagalur, it is a tribute to a place that has witnessed generations of our family and continues to inspire everything we do.
Today, in the heart of Bangalore, every cup of our estate-grown coffee and every dish inspired by Mom's recipes brings a little of Chikmagalur to your table. Though our cafe is miles away from the estate, everything we do remains deeply connected to home.

Just the beginning.
This is only the beginning.
We've just started brewing the story.
And there's a lot more to come.
